Pedestrian Killed In Crash That Occurred On North Pacific Avenue

Saturday morning, a pedestrian was killed in a crash that happened on North Pacific Avenue.

California Highway Patrol said that the incident took place at 5:40 a.m. near Broadway and North Pacific Avenue.

Additionally, investigators reported that it was a responding officer of Huntington Beach  who struck the pedestrian.

45-year-old Derrick Flanders did not survive his injuries, succumbing to them at the hospital.

Huntington Beach Officials are currently trying to determine what circumstances were at play surrounding the pedestrian crash.
